BADGE NAMED E HALL

MADE BY A.E.POSTON &CO LTD

Crompton & Company produced light fittings, bulbs, Vidor batteries, Venner metering instruments as well as design and installation services. Crompton is still trading as Crompton Lighting Ltd of Doncaster. F & A Parkinson manufactured electrical motors, power transmission systems and some of their products are well association with early diesel-electric locomotives and street lighting.

Crompton Parkinson Ltd were taken over by the Hawker Siddeley group and since then, have changed hands a few times and are now owned by the Brook Crompton group of companies. During WW2, Crompton-Parkinson converted much of their manufacturing capacity to the production of .303 bullet shells.
